Achievement Unlocked: Quoted in Forbes

Hey all! Super excited to share that I was quoted in Forbes online. The article is about the workplace of the future. I firmly believe that we'll be seeing a backlash against the hyper connected world of today. Signs of people seeking deeper connection can be seen in their early stages with the resurgence of board games and role playing games like Dungeons & Dragons. And before you ask...no I don't have science to back that up, just my gut feel and sales information released by companies like Hasbro.

In the near future, office spaces will blend isolation with community to allow teams to form, work together, disband all while providing people time together or alone based on the task at hand. Here are some quotes from the article. Find the complete article here: 50-Year Future Of The Office: What Will Workspaces Be Like In The Year 2069? by Nigel Davis.

Tim Kulp, VP of strategy and innovation at Mind Over Machines, thinks office buildings will be used as spaces free of all things digital. He says: “These will be real-world spaces focused on helping humans connect with each other and with nature: designed to enable collaboration between humans without the distraction of technology and without the worry of who or what is listening.”

And...

He envisages buildings with empty rooms designed for people to interact with a digital “mirrorworld” and isolation spaces that allow people to focus on virtual reality tasks without distraction. He suggests: “Fashion designers could be on the runway designing clothes, construction workers manning machines miles away in an environment that looks more like a video game than a construction site.

“Humans will be seeking spaces to be together, to be connected and to be alone. Offices of the future will provide all three spaces flowing between digital and physical worlds.”

So exciting!!! I'm glad I was part of the article and look forward to more collaborations with the team at Forbes in the future. What do you think we'll see in the office of the future?
