Another week, another pre-order

And here we go! Another pre-order is available from me. Yes, already. Last week I was talking about the project that wouldn’t go away, this week I’m telling you I’m looking for ARC readers.

I have 20 ARC slots open. 7 of them have already been filled. If you’re interested in a middle grade adventure and would like to check out the latest Human + AI book I’ve written, go and sign up for the ARC. You can get the ARC on my Book Funnel landing page.

Here’s the blurb:

Sam didn't want to save the world, just his turtle.

But, as Sam discovers, sometimes saving the world can come down to protecting a turtle from dangerous Shadow Faeries.

On the second anniversary of his dad’s death, Sam and his mom adopt a new pet to prepare for a bigger change in their family. When Sam finds Shelly, a strange turtle, myth, magic and monsters turns his life upside down. Can Sam learn to work with his mom’s boyfriend to save his turtle? Or will the Shadow Faeries capture Shelly and throw the world into eternal darkness?

I’ve set pre-orders to go live as well.

Will there be a paperback edition?

Yes! I just haven’t loaded it yet :) You can pre-order the Kindle edition now and paperback will be online for launch day 9/16. The paperback is super cool with the illustrations and I can’t recommend it enough.

Is it in color?

No. I learned an important lesson on the cost of color and didn’t want to make the book cost prohibitive. BUT, if you sign up for my middle-grade newsletter you can get a free companion book to THE LIGHT OF ENKI called ART OF LIGHT: THE AI IMAGINATION OF ENKI. This is a behind the scenes book where I share my process of collaborating with AI and full color images from the AI image generation system.

I will also be sharing how to get posters of the art because some of these images are AMAZING. My AI artist out did themselves :)

Any other surprises?

Yes. There will be a surprise addition to the book on release that has to do with this image:

What does this key open?
