Where is the City of Duhr?
The City of Duhr stories started as a bit of an experiment on my blog.
Recently I copied the story to Microsoft Word and saw that at the end of Caliburn, the story is now over 40 pages long. Thinking about how people consume blog content, this story line is way too long. Due to this, I’m moving City of Duhr out of the blog and into MS Word.
I’ll post updates here about how the ebook is going. Perhaps some tales will still leak in here but I’m moving the experiment into full blown project. Catch up on what I’ve posted so far here:
What’s Next
My plan from here is to take the tales that make this story and build an ebook. I’m toying around with a few approaches to the ebook and am considering publishing an unfinished book for the audience to experience the book as it is being completed. This would be a bit of “see the sausage being made” experience. I know it’s not for everyone but I don’t write for everyone. I write for people who enjoy strange stories, strange places, familiar people and situations.
So we’ll see. If you would like to see a writing project where the ebook evolves with you as a reader let me know in the comments. My thinking is the ebook would be like a software system with release notes and a schedule of updates. You’d be able to see what is updated, added and removed in the release notes every week.
Until next time! Enjoy the City of Duhr.
